Our Story
The three of us (from left to right: Josh, Scott, and Nick) met in 1996 in Groton, CT while we were all stationed at Naval Station Groton. All of us were at different points in our careers. One of us on his way in, one on his way out, and one continuing his career. From the first time we hung out we all knew we had that rare thing, friends for life. Since that day we have been close friends, despite thousands of miles between us, wives, ex-wives, new wives, and children. Through thick and thin we have remained close.
One day we were driving by the Jersey Shore and Scott saw a diner, OB Diner. Scott said, Original Bastards, like us. Though the size of our group has grown and shrunk over the years, through it all, the three Original Bastards have stayed close. We have not only embraced the name, but we've lived up to it too.
The T-shirt concept was purely by accident. See every year we have all met up in Las Vegas for our annual pilgrimage, and we noticed we were all wearing funny (and offensive) t-shirts. We thought we had ideas for offensive t-shirts that were as good as anyplace we bought them from. We thought we should give this a try. We came up with a bunch of shirt ideas and Scott made a bunch of shirts in his garage with his heat press. Scott brought these out to us on the next Vegas trip. Everywhere we went we got looks and comments, people asking us where we got those t-shirts, we told them that we made them. There was a lot of interest in where they could buy one, so here we are.
We have decided to make it a brand, so no one could steal our ideas. We have accumulated so many stories over the almost 30 years of friendship and we will attach the story to the shirt we put up for sale, so our faithful customers will know the inside story of what's behind the shirts. It’s not just a funny shirt. It’s our crazy lives!
Our Mission
Our mission at OB Tees is a simple one! Funny! You are all thinking about it, and now you can wear it too. We are veterans ,and GenXers, so you see where this is going. We provide our customers with the funniest, or most offensive, t-shirts available. We strive to offer a wide range of options, fast turnaround times, and exceptional customer service.
We are not for everyone, and we don't expect our shirts to be either. So if you are offended, please do waste your time letting us know. But, if you aren't for everyone, it is time to let the world know, and we have a shirt you'll probably like.
